She is the Director of The Gynecology, Obstetrics, Neonatalogy and Human Reproduction Services at Coimbra Hospital and University Centre, and was the Director of the Human Reproduction Department of CHUC until 2020. Head of the Laboratory of Biology of Reproduction of the Service of Medical Genetics and Human Reproduction at the CHUC until 2010. Remarkably, she was the President of the Portuguese Society of Reproductive Medicine from 2012 to 2018. Deputy Secretary-General of the European Society of Gynecology from 2007 to 2012, followed by the role of Secretary-General of the European Society of Gynecology from 2012 to 2017.
