Throughout the history of Medicine, developments in technology led to new ways of approaching disease and therapy, while saving doctors time and effort, and allowing for the extension of the human life-span.
Now, in a time when robots can perform surgical procedures and artificial intelligence can establish diagnosis and therapeutic options, where do the medical doctors of the future stand?
Will the health sciences area expand to encompass engineers and programmers? Will doctors step into the exclusive role of caregivers?
